The Music of the Future The world is losing its musicality. A new force has emerged: Artificial Intelligence creating sound without listening, without feeling, without connection. This has become AI Noise— a distortion that disrupts balance, nature, and our ability to hear ourselves. In this game, players travel across the continents, exploring the Elements of Music— not as concepts, but as lived experiences: timbre, pitch, melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, meter, articulations, ornaments, dynamics, spatial location, and silence. Using their voice, body, and breath, players express music through different ways of sounding— like strings, winds, and percussion. Each player creates, responds, and connects. There is no single correct way to play. Only listening, expression, and awareness. As the elements are explored, the noise begins to dissolve. Players restore harmony, free the electronic instruments from noise, and remember— through their own musicality— how to create the Music of the Future.

A Conversation About Musicality and the Music of the Future
In this interview with WBOI Arts & Culture reporter Julia Meek, Cote Godoy shares the vision behind The Music of the Future, a cooperative board game created as an extension of the Musical Conexión philosophy.
The conversation explores musicality as a natural human capacity and the importance of giving children opportunities to listen, move, sing, create, and connect through music. Cote also introduces the game’s imaginative journey across continents, its twelve Elements of Music, and the challenge of working together to restore harmony through creativity and improvisation.
